Can I use HairMarker on chemically relaxed or permed hair?

What is the difference between HairMarker and TouchBack?

The difference is in the applicator. HairMarker is liquid hair color in a bottle that is applied with a Wand applicator and is available in 6 shades. There are 40 applications per bottle. TouchBack PRO delivers an even flow of hair color continuously through a Marker applicator and is available in 4 shades. There are 60 applications per marker.

Does HairMarker flake or rub off?

HairMarker does not flake or rub off because it bonds to the hair. It is real temporary hair color, and can be brushed — unlike hair mascaras, powders and spray-on color, which only coat the surface.

Can I use styling products with HairMarker?

HairMarker can be used with all styling products prior to applying HairMarker. Hair spray can be used over it.

How long does HairMarker last?

HairMarker is temporary hair color and lasts until shampooed out. It delivers hair color for a minimum of 30-40 applications, depending on the amount of gray that needs to be covered.

Does HairMarker affect permanent hair color?

HairMarker does not change permanent hair color because it does not penetrate the hair shaft. However, it should be shampooed out before the next application of permanent color.

Does HairMarker work on dark roots?

HairMarker only colors gray roots. It cannot make dark hair lighter.

Are there any harsh chemicals in HairMarker?

HairMarker uses only temporary hair colors. There are no harsh chemicals — no ammonia or peroxide.

Can I use HairMarker on chemically relaxed or permed hair?

You can use HairMarker on chemically relaxed or permed hair. The formula attaches to the outside of the hair. There are no harsh chemicals, like ammonia or peroxide, to damage the hair.

What is the comb for?

The comb lifts the hair for easy application and acts as a hairline shield. At the temples and hairline, slide the comb under the hair — as close to the scalp as possible — then apply HairMarker.

Can I use HairMarker on my eyebrows?

HairMarker is classified as a temporary hair color and, therefore, carries customary warnings against use around the eyes. For eyebrows, TouchBack BrowMarker is available in 5 shades.

Does perspiration affect HairMarker?

Heavy perspiration can cause HairMarker to rub off on fabrics (towel, hat, etc.)

Does HairMarker stain the skin?

HairMarker can easily be removed from skin with a damp tissue.

Does HairMarker stain fabrics?

HairMarker is real hair color. It can stain clothing and other porous materials.

Can I remove stains from fabric?

It is difficult to remove stains from fabric unless it is done quickly. Use any hair color stain remover, which can be purchased at beauty supply stores (not drug stores).

Should I shake the bottle before using HairMarker?

It is not necessary and it is not recommended, as bubbles will form in the liquid.

Can HairMarker flow out of the bottle?

When opening the bottle, it should be in an upright position. HairMarker is liquid and can pour out.

What is the HairMarker policy on animal testing?

HairMarker does not test on animals, and does not use any animal-based ingredients.
